Here’s what our members have to look forward to this month on the Intrinsic Energy learning portal:

Delegating can be very nerve-wracking and often takes more time than just doing it yourself. But without it, you might run out of time. Once you master the art of delegating you not only free up your time for other tasks but also enable others to grow and succeed. However, delegation is not black and white. There are a lot of grey areas. Understanding the person you are delegating to, assessing their ability to do the task and their will in finishing the task will help you understand the degree to which you delegate. This allow you to delegate with confidence. During this session, discover the different levels of delegation and which to choose.

How can you make your bad relationships better and your good relationships great? Ever wonder why there are some people who just don’t get you and who you just can’t understand? This session introduces you to four different personality styles at work (Driver, Analytical, Expressive, Amiable) and explains how to interact with each personality style. Engaged to an Analytical, working with an Amiable and as an Expressive/Driver, this understanding has helped Katherine countless times. By understanding other people’s preferred communication style, you can minimise miscommunication and build strong, positive relationships.

Neuroscience indicates that there are workplace triggers which impact the motivation levels of your team. At a fundamental level we are all programmed to move away from fire and towards safety. Sometimes our thoughts within the workplace can have the same effect, thoughts such as “Do I really feel part of the team?” or “Do people trust me to get work done?” or even “Do I have control over future decisions?”. Whether these thoughts present themselves positively or negatively can actively encourage someone to work hard or to shun the request and not actively participate. So how do we make sure we are consistently inspiring our team so they are thinking positively?

Feeling like a fraud means living a life in fear. It means not living to your full potential. Imposter syndrome is a psychological pattern in which an individual doubts their skills, talents or accomplishments and has a persistent internalised fear of being exposed as a “fraud”. During this session, gain a deeper understanding of Imposter syndrome and ways to conquer it so you can live free from doubt and free from fear. Renew your confidence in who you are and learn how to not let imposter syndrome get in your way again.

Trusting someone can be challenging and scary. But without trust, relationships would not form and work would not get done! Trust is the most important business and brand asset you manage, especially when it comes to relationships with customers, clients, employees, and stakeholders. But what does trust mean and how can you create it? Trusting someone means that you think they are reliable, you have confidence in them, and you feel safe with them physically and emotionally. In this session, learn how trust is created and how it is protected, as once trust is broken it is very hard to build back up.

You have great ideas and big goals, but many times you need other people to say YES to your requests in order to fulfil these dreams. You have to get past No! Whether it is a client, boss, colleague or loved one, there is an art and science to being influential and convincing people your idea, initiative or request is great! A successful Yes comes from understanding your stakeholder and positioning your request so that they want to say Yes. During this session, we will examine the real reason people say No, 6 different triggers to help you get to Yes, and the 3 rules of influencing!

Time is our most valuable resource, but do we know the best way to manage it? It seems for many of us the answer is no, and at the end of the day we wonder where the time has gone! Procrastination, feeling overwhelmed, and not being organised are some of the main enemies of time. In this session, learn the tools and tips to help you manage your time. Time management is the process of planning and exercising conscious control of time spent on specific activities, especially to increase effectiveness, efficiency, and productivity. Learn how to be in control so at the end of the day you have time to spare.
